Winter Metro Champions 2013

Winter Metropolitan Champions in 2013. What an exciting weekend and a tremendous result! With a high percentage of Personal Best times, our Carlile Team achieved 8 gold, 14 silver and 11 bronze medals. Six Bronze Squad swimmers (Mia Rolfe, Emile Petersen, Pia Lenarduzzi, Jonah Gerritsen, Charli Brown and Annika Tonuri) in particular had an awesome weekend.. read more →

Another great weekend in Canberra! Thirty one Carlile swimmers competed at the Tuggeranong Qualifying Meet in Canberra over the weekend. The orange caps dominated the pool. Tears of Joy! Congratulations Ami

Tonight Ami Matsuo 16yrs old received some very exciting news. Ami has been selected to represent Australia at the 2013 World Championships in Barcelona. On the first night of 2013 Australian Open Championships, our team Ami Matsuo, Leanne Wright, Jessie Quinn and Emily Washer swam a Bronze Medal race in the Women’s 4×100 FREE Relay. Congratulations Girls – A Great Result! read more →

It was fun, it was exciting and the results were excellent for our 2013 Age Nationals Team in Adelaide. Our team of 27 swimmers finished fourth overall and was Top NSW Club Point Scorer. We broke the Australian record in the women’s 18/Under  4×100 FREE relay.  We smashed three NSW swimming records and we won.. read more →

We had a team breakfast to recognise the swimmers who have represented the Carlile Swimming Club at the Open Water Nationals Championships plus acknowledge swimmers going to Adelaide for the Age and Open Nationals Championships. Junior Pan Pacific representatives Ami Matsuo and Regan Leong will be keen to add to their collection of Australian Age titles from 2012. The pair bagged three titles each last year with 16-year-old Matsuo taking a clean sweep of the 50, 100 and 200m freestyle events. Metropolitan Champs 2013

Well it was another successful weekend with Carlile Swimming Club taking out the Metropolitan championships point score. It was a very successful weekend for the Carlile 12 years and under swimmers capturing yet another state championship title by a staggering 670 points. Forty five swimmers met at Shelley Beach, Manly at 6.30am on 15th December. There were a few clouds around, the ocean was a little bumpy and all were ready to brave the ocean.
