2017 NSW State Open Championships

The Carlile Swimming Team competed at the NSW State Open Championships over the past weekend. It was an international standard meet, with many Olympians and international teams out to compete. The Carlile team did a great job swimming fast, and finished 1st in the point score out of all the NSW clubs!

It was a great meet for the Carlile team with many PBs swum, national times obtained and finals contested. Special mention to Emily Washer and Callum Sherington who both won individual medals! Emily finished 3rd in the 200 Butterfly with a time of 2:12.57. Callum finished 2nd in the 400 IM with a time of 4:23.83.

The Carlile team’s spirit and unity shone throughout the meet, and in particular with some excellent relay performances.  Congratulations to the: Womens 4×100 medley relay team, Mens 4×200 freestyle relay team and the Womens 4×100 freestyle relay team who all won medals.

Once again well done to the whole team! We now have our sights set on the upcoming Open and Age National Championships.

Go Carlile!
